The thinnest available glass thickness - typical for old windows, picture frames, and shadowboxes.
The next available thickness (1/8"). Typical in old windows, modern storm windows and single garage windows.
Thicker and stronger than DS, but with less weight than 1/4". This is a common shelf thickness for medicine cabinets, and heavy duty storm windows.
This is the ideal thickness for indoor tabletop glass, and most smaller shelves. It is also common in slider windows (transactional), sneezeguards and large windows.
These are the two thickest options we have, and are rarely used for windows. These are most common in heavy glass tops, or bartops.
1/8" is the thinnest glass that can be tempered. It is common in smaller doors, campers, mobile homes and some larger windows.
This is the next thickness for tempered glass. It's often found in large single pane storefronts or doors. It is sometimes found in smaller patio tables.
This is the best thickness for tempered storefront glass, if it's not double pane. It's often found in large single pane storefronts or doors. This is ideal for outdoor patio tabletops, bartops, and accent tables. It's also a great shelf material or sneezeguard glass for food service or public spaces.
These are the thickest options we offer and are typically used in frameless showers, frameless standoff counters, and display glass. Ranging between 5-8 lbs a square foot, it's very heavy and makes quite a statement.
A IGU with plate glass (annealed), desiccant spacer bar, butyl and dehydrated air. Extremely common in modern home and business windows.
IG Units or IGU* - comprising of two pieces of glass sealed together in a climate controlled environment. Great for insulating against temperature changes.

Plexiglass is useful for impact resistance and is lighter weight than glass. However, it is highly susceptible to scratches, and and will discolor in the sun over time. Good for a variety of projects but will likely crack if drilled or shaped too strongly.

Lexan is useful for impact resistance and is lighter weight than glass. It is a softer material than plexiglass, and therefore more flexible. This is extremely popular with Covid-guards. It is susceptible to scratches, and and will discolor in the sun over time. Lexan is the material you need if you're planning on drilling holes for mounting.
